CPLP Series Module 5: Facilitating Organisational Change


The first of our CPLP Series 2010, Module 5: Facilitating Organisational Change.

Our workshop presenter, Eliza Quek, has facilitated a broad range of interventions and she will share her wealth of experience. Eliza will be focusing in particular on Appreciative Inquiry (AI). This will be an interactive, hands-on session where you will walk away with:

 

1)      A chance to share your views on best practices in using AI

2)      A better idea of the limitations of the approach

3)      Applied AI to peer coaching – sharing best practices based on your own situation and case studies

More about Eliza Quek

Eliza is an International HR and Organization Development Consultant who has served as both Internal and External Change Agent.

As Internal Consultant with Esso Singapore, Esso Eastern Inc and Exxon Chemicals, she strengthened teams, facilitated conflict resolution between Union and Management and enhanced leadership and management capabilities. With Singapore Press Holdings, she conceptualized, designed and implemented a competency based appraisal, talent spotting and succession planning system.

Her external consultancy role with the Maltese government enabled them to implement reforms needed to secure entry into the European Union. With the Singapore Vocational Industry Training Board she supported the CEO in evolving a People Centered Management culture. Other projects include working with civil servants from African and Commonwealth countries, female leaders in Slovakia’s Institute of Democracy, and the Ural Bank of Redevelopment.  

Her M.A. in Manpower Studies from Birkbeck College, University of London provides a sound basis for Adjunct appointments in the Business Schools of Singapore Management University, Universities of Kingston, Portsmouth and Surrey and the Open University where she has taught Business Strategy, Business Ethics, Management Futures, Entrepreneurship and Enterprise Development among others.

Eliza combines a passion for the Arts with travel and thrives on diversity!
